Look Fly, Feel Good

Look Fly, Feel Good

Fly Girl Goods is a health and wellness brand bridging the gap between creativity and wellness. Style and fashion takes a lot of effort and so does prioritizing your health. You shouldn't have to pick. Our products are designed to provide our customers with convenient ways to incorporate health supplements into their daily routines. From our sea moss infused teas and lemonades that are crafted to insure you meet your daily mineral goals to our plain sea moss gel that can be used in smoothies, puddings, and even on your hair and skin- Fly Girl Goods got you.

But what makes us so fly?

Taliyah is a Queens, New York native with a proud foundational Black American heritage. It is evident that this community is filled with trailblazers and trend setters. We are constantly elevating the bar for sports, fashion, and the arts. But what about wellness?

My grandmother sought a new life in New York on a watermelon truck- and if you know anything about the history of watermelons and Black farmers, you know how lucrative that industry was for us before it became heavily stigmatized.

She eventually settled in Canarsie, Brooklyn.

Despite her fruitful journey, she ended up in a neighborhood that lacked access to fresh produce- by design. Ironically, her family back home in the south were undergoing those same nutritional changes. As factories jobs vanished, fast food proliferated. That did not stop them from canning apples, peaches, and other fruits while they were in season to ensure they always had access to quality produce throughout the year. Whenever we went back, they'd give us preserved jars of apples to last us until our next visit.

We come from a lineage of resilient people. Despite the efforts to disrupt our health, we always find ways to create beautiful, nutritious, and delicious meals. We also somehow manage to look stylish and create unintentional trends while doing it. Through Fly Girl Goods, I intend to continue that legacy.
